Kinda….they have sweat glands between the pads of their paws. Otherwise the only other ability they have to “cool off” when they are hot is by panting.
In Greek mythology, Cerebus s the 3 headed hound that protects the gates of Hades (Hell); capturing/killing Cerebus was the 12th (and most dangerous) task assigned to Hercules;and even though he was not allowed to use weapons, he was able to complete his assignment..That Hercules was quite a guy!
The canine brain operates in much the same way the human brain does, with the left hemisphere controlling the right side of the body and the right hemisphere controlling the left side. A variety of studies appear to indicate that the left side of the dog’s brain is in charge of favorable feelings and the right side is in charge of negative ones.
And yes, dogs have a left or right “paw” preference……to determine which is your dog’s preference, watch him/her when he lies down and crosses his paws… you will see that he is more likely to place the dominent paw on top.
